My friend Melissa works for a country club and every year she brings me as her "date" to the annual tennis banquet. I'm always down for some free food even if it means dressing up on a Sunday.
We got eight inches of snow on Saturday night. I've had enough thank you, bring on summer. I broke my ice scraper so started karate chopping ice off my car. Maybe I'll move on to boards next since I'm so good with the ice.
The tennis courts are freezing cold and I'm shoving my face full of cheese because I'm STARVING. I discover that the white crackers taste like tea bags. No good. The tennis match was well played but all I could think of was my puffy red coat and some food.
We finally get to the banquet portion and stuff our faces full of more cheese products (mac and cheese, cheesy potatoes) and some salad to help balance all that cheese. I was boozed out from the weekend (snow makes me want to drink) so I didn't partake in the alcohol.
I drove Melissa home and by some miracle there was a spot near my house to park. City parking is hell in the winter! I tend to abandon my car if there's snow as to not lose my prime parking spot.
So that was my lovely Sunday spent with rich people in fur and fancy jewelery. It's nice to see what a posh country club is like but I felt out of place.
I'd also like to say that I hate fur. I don't understand why people wear it, it's pointless and disgusting.

so much cheese!! Here in south Texas (where I live), it still feels like summer on some winter days because it's so humid. And I've never seen REAL snow... at least, not enough to count as "snow".
I'll see if I can send some snow your way. We have plenty in Bostn.
